Jan 08 — Oooh how they grow up fast! Look back at gallery 5 (these are the same guys/gals)

Queuing up to get at the news days organic Lucerne. Hmmmn… Yum!

Some of our A1 premium Lucerne in the shed. Looks great but as we do not have the machine to stack them it all had to be done the old fashioned way

Heads down! This is one of our oldest stands of Lucerne and has stood the test through vie years of drought, floods and heavy grazing and hay making. Incredible stuff—Sceptre (Heritage Seeds).

This cow has got one heck of a temper (Word of warning folks, these animals can be very unpredictable and quite dangerous when they have calves). Now she is looking for her delinquent calf and is not impressed! Looks as though she has been hogging the Lucerne too. Her freeze brand is 9001—and I do believe she is just like HAL from space odyssey and has a crafty streak.

S&J Contracting pressing our little squares of Lucerne. Its an art and a science!

This is a picture from back in Spring and the calves in the background still have their winter coats. Here they are grazing on the last stand of Dictator Barley with clover and rye in the bottom. You can see that this fellow is going to be a big boy when he gets to 14 months

Organic Lucerne growing like mad. This is one of our best stands yet Heritage Seeds sown in Autumn 07
